Hi im Rodney author and creator of www.mycardteacher.com and www.diykoipond.com I am a husband and a father, have  precious kids and enjoy spending time with my family when not online. I am also a committed environmental Scientist and work daily to protect our planet. I try and maintain a sustainable lifestyle and am careful about how much waste I generate, amount of water and energy I use and try to set a real practical example for my kids.

I live in  Australia yet have spent many years working voluntary in Papua New Guinea helping the people in real practical ways.  I have managed over 200 Aid projects including teaching fish, chicken and Duck farms for protein, built hospitals, schools, aid posts, run training on HIV AIDS, taught ways to prevent Malaria and minimise other diseases, ran literacy schools and even piped clean water into villages for drinking water. Generally I did what ever was needed and often learnt on the run. I was also the manager of a famous Zoological Institution know as The Baiyer River Wildlife Sanctuary. I loved both jobs and PNG, its in my blood! The Western World is a real boring place after living and working in PNG.

I am a really hard worker! What ever I do I give it 100% effort and don’t stop until I have completed whatever it is that I was doing. That said people tend to take advantage of that quality in me and load me up with even more work and so I have been pretty stressed over the past year working in Local Government. Working from Pay Check to pay check wasn’t providing a living for my kids, in fact I saw them less as I would often stay at work late finishing things.

Over the past few years I have been seeking alternative income streams to try and break away from stressing myself out.  I don’t enjoy trading hours for dollars and not spending enough time with my kids. So a few years ago I started investigating other ways to generate incomes. I have read books, watched DVD’s been to seminars, scoured the internet etc and found that if others can make money online while they sleep- what’s stopping me from doing it too and supporting my family. I am an environmental guy but that environmental guy now uses a computer and spends countless hours online generating an income for life so i can leverage my internet money to provide for my family.

One of my biggest incomes today is from a greeting card company. Yep you heard correct Greeting Cards actually pay me an income. I am also a big Greeting Card Sender now. I never use to send many cards out due to the fact that I didn’t have the time. Since i found a simple system that sends cards out in the mail for me from my computer at home and pays me to do it- well, i have never looked back. Its hard not to be a fan when someone else is doing all the work. Its hard to believe that I get paid bonuses when others use the system too and a residual income for life from the cards they send out. On my quest to create a residual income stream for my family I have also started affiliate marketing and found an easy system that allows me to market 26 affiliate programs automatically to generate income. It even promotes my greeting card business to prospects. It takes all the hard work flying blind around the internet. The problem I have is that I am an environmental scientist not a salesman or internet marketer. Now I am not silly yet I don’t know everything about internet marketing, honestly I know very little.
